The Year in sound bites

Here is the Merriam-Webster definition of the phrase "sound bite" - brief recorded statement (as by a public figure) broadcast especially on a television news program; also: a brief catchy comment or saying.

A seasoned veteran in the broadcast industry can catch a good, powerful sound bite as it happens.   This is a necessary trait for any journalist, particularly those working on a tight deadline.   Suffice it to say, the last 12 months produced quite a few.  Between the NY Safe Act, Common Core forums and political scandals there was a long list of memorable ones.   We captured a few in the above clip and with 2014 being an election year, expect many more to come in the next year.
