A seasoned veteran in the broadcast industry can catch a good, powerful sound bite as it happens. This is a necessary trait for any journalist, particularly those working on a tight deadline. Suffice it to say, the last 12 months produced quite a few. Between the NY Safe Act, Common Core forums and political scandals there was a long list of memorable ones.
