In what many thought a few months ago would be a joyous occasion, instead, today's Electoral College proceeding in the New York State Senate Chamber was a more somber affair.
Former President Bill Clinton was the first of twenty-nine people to cast a vote for his wife on a day that marked the official end of the 2016 presidential election. Hillary Clinton received all 29 votes from her home state, won the nation's popular vote, but lost in the electoral college to Donald Trump.
"I never cast a vote I was prouder of," the 42nd U.S. President said on his way out of Albany State Capitol.
Watch our sights and sounds of today's proceeding.
