Closer look: Ridesharing comes to New York

After years of waiting, New Yorkers on Long Island and upstate will finally be able to take advantage of ridesharing companies like Uber and Lyft as soon as this summer.

The bill was passed in April's state budget.  This week Matt Hamilton of the Times Union takes a deep dive into the legislation including when it begins, how it may affect the traditional taxi cab industry and what changes may still come.
