The WMHT original film "Governor Mario Cuomo: Poetry and Prose" was nominated for a New York State Emmy at a press conference today in New York City.
The sixty minute documentary profiled the surprise rise and unexpected fall of the three-term governor. Forty interviews were conducted with a wide gamut of individuals, including a rare sit-down interview with Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The film was named "Best Documentary" by the New York State Broadcasters Association in 2017. Matt Ryan is the host and producer with Brian Flynn as the chief videographer.
