Westchester native Alessandra Biaggi stunned the political world when she defeated powerful, longtime Senator Jeff Klein in a September primary. The longtime Bronx politician led the Independent Democratic Conference for a number of years, including a time when they co-governed the chamber with the Senate Republicans.
Biaggi is one of fifteen new incoming Democrats, a number of which seized on the anger against not only Donald Trump's policies but the IDC's alignment with the GOP. This week Biaggi discusses her priorities with our Karen DeWitt.
