New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio experienced his his first time in Albany as part of the "Tin Cup Brigade." It's when leaders from across the state come to the capital city to argue, usually, for more money for their respective cities. The new mayor of the five boroughs got the most attention today. His plan to raise taxes on the wealthiest city residents by a half percent has been the talk of the state now for over a month, entangling fellow Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
Today, our camera followed de Blasio as he testified to the Ways and Means Committee (for over 2.5 hours), addressed the press afterward and his midday meeting with Governor Cuomo in the Red Room.
