Prop 4 passage brings relief to Raquette Lake

Election night brought good news for the people who live on the 216 parcels of disputed land around Raquette Lake.

Proposal 4 passed by a large margin and now gives the people who live on the disputed sections clear title to the land after they opt-in to the agreement just passed.  By doing so, they would pay the Town of Long Lake on average around $2,700 and in turn end a century-old controversy between the state and residents there.

Our Matt Ryan caught up with Carolyn Gerdin, whose land was in question, to get her reaction.   Watch our full story from October.
