Jay continues to struggle after Tropical Storm Irene

Tropical Storm Irene happened almost a year ago, but the remnants still remain in one Adirondack town. Jay, in Essex County, is three million dollars in debt because of the storm cleanup and can’t afford to pay for the pickup of numerous piles of debris still scattered all throughout town.  Town Supervisor Randy Douglas is hoping FEMA will reverse its previous decision not to pay for the removal, citing it’s not an “immediate threat.”  Watch New York NOW this weekend for the full story.
