US Extends Border Restrictions on Non-Essential Travel by Canadians

Canadians will have to wait at least one more month to visit the United States.

On Wednesday, the White House confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security had extended a ban on non-essential travel for Canadians crossing the border until August 21st.

In a written statement, the Department of Homeland Security said the risk of continued spread of COVID-19 between the US and Canada poses an “ongoing threat to human life or national interests.”
