Faso-Delgado to debate at WMHT October 19th

Email share

Rep. John Faso (R-Kinderhook) and Antonio Delgado will participate in a live debate here at WMHT-TV on October 19th at 1pm with a re-airing that night at 8:30pm.

The race for the 19th Congressional District seat is traditionally one of the most watched and most expensive in the country.  A Democrat has not held the seat since 2010, but Barack Obama did win the district in both 2008 and 2012.

Faso won decisively over Zephyr Teachout two years ago (watch their WMHT debate here), but recent polls by Siena College and Monmouth show the race to be a virtual dead heat.

The debate will be available over-the-air to both viewers of WMHT and WSKG, the PBS affiliate in Binghamton.  It will also be live-streamed here at NYNOW.org.

Note to Guests attending the debate:

  • If you did not RSVP, you will be unable to watch in the studio.
  • As a courtesy to both of our candidates, we are not allowing any campaign signs, t-shirts or buttons to be worn into our studio.
  • We will not tolerate any rude behavior toward either candidate. We also will not allow any cheering or booing after a candidates answer. The only time we will allow applause is when the candidates are introduced and at the end of the broadcast.
  • We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
