Wrapping up the political year

Email share

We examine another year in state politics this week at the Reporters Roundtable, as Casey Seiler and Matt Ryan are joined by Ken Lovett of The Daily News and Karen DeWitt of New York State Public Radio.

It’s, of course, only fitting that as we review 2016 there could actually be much more news before we reach the end of the calendar year.  Talks are swirling about a special session of the legislature next week that could involve lawmakers getting a raise for the first time in almost two decades.

Until that happens, we look back at the scandals that hit the state’s economic development arm including the indictment of Andrew Cuomo’s close ally Joe Percoco, the investigations surrounding NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, and the never-ending storyline of who will control the state senate.
