This week on NYN: Governor's race, Conservatives meet, and LIRR woes

Email share

As Punxsutawney Phil calls for six more weeks of winter, things are heating up in Albany.

Longtime State Senator John DeFrancisco officially entered the race for governor this week and came out swinging against Andrew Cuomo.  Also, Conservatives met up in the Capital Region for their annual conference.  We'll hear from Upstate Congressmen John Katko (R-Syracuse) and Tom Reed (R-Corning) on the need for a strong Republican turnout in what some expect to be a big year for Democrats.

Finally, Nassau County State Senator Todd Kaminsky joins us to discuss the ongoing problems commuters are having on the LIRR.

We hope to see you this weekend on your local PBS station.
