Sampson on 'evolving' same-sex marriage views

President Barack Obama made news Wednesday, when he told Robin Roberts of ABC, that he believes 'same-sex couples should be able to get married.'  This is a change in position for him as he has famously said his views on this controversial topic were still 'evolving.'  The leader of New York’s Senate Democratic Conference, John Sampson, told New York NOW he can understand the President’s feelings on this, as he too underwent a transformation.  The Brooklyn native voted ‘yes’ when the issue was brought to the floor in 2009, when it was defeated 38-24, and again last June when it passed by a 33-29 margin.
