Former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco brought his star power to Albany to warn about the dangers of drugs, in particular the supplement DMAA. The drug is banned by a half dozen countries as well as the military and almost every major sports league.  DMAA can be found in popular products like Jack3d and OxyElite Pro. The Independent Democratic Conference is calling for a ban of the supplement.

Canseco, who detailed his steroids use in his controversial book "Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big," trains people from the ages of 12-30 and cautioned not only are some supplements like DMAA dangerous but "most do not work."
