Day Two of the budget hearings began with testimony from the embattled New York State Education Commissioner John King. This comes the weekend after the New York State United Teachers Board of Directors gave him a vote of "no confidence" over what they see as the bumbled implementation of the controversial Common Core curriculum. Lawmakers asked numerous questions to King, many imploring him to delay or halt the implementation altogether.

In the clip above, Long Island State Senator Carl Marcellino tells King this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to complaints from teachers and students. Afterward, King discusses with reporters NYSUT's recent vote of "no confidence" and called it a" series of political concerns."
